Interesting story of dark nights
The story of the film ‘Anandi’ is so similar that in dark nights, a beautiful girl comes out on deserted roads. Neither her legs are bent nor does she look scary. On the contrary, she looks so beautiful that any ordinary person walking on the road gets fascinated by her. This is what she wants. She takes the man who is infatuated with her to an old mansion. After this she disappears by opening the door. And, she leaves the flowers, clothes and ornaments etc. decorated on the body one by one on the way. The lust of the young man who came with her was awakened by seeing her alone in the dark night, its consummation takes place where this young woman has done some tantra worship like Voodoo. As soon as the animal work kept in the basket is removed, this young man sees his sins committed in the past and…!
Black magic of Mayong
In the climax of the film, Anandi is seen surrounded by dozens of animals. Before that, the poster of the missing youth who came with him to the haveli is seen. Then the number of posters of missing youths on the wall keep increasing. And, at the same time the number of animals present in Anandi’s enclosure increases. Anandi then waits for the next mistake of every animal instinct to attack an innocent person, and she will bring him to her mansion by binding her in her form and make her another ‘guest’ of her yard. Nikita Ghag’s brilliant OTT debut
Nikita Ghag, who was an international model in the role of Anandi, has done a wonderful performance. Nikita, who has shown her cool style on social media, has donned a very beautiful look of a Bengal beauty throughout the film. Dressed in a saree, sometimes with a conch shell, sometimes with a lamp and sometimes with incense, Anandi attracts attention whenever she appears on the screen. Her dialogue delivery is also very simple and easy. The kind of confidence that Nikita showed in the film itself, is definitely a sign of her bright future. If she gets good stories and good directors, then she can fill the vacant place of beautiful actresses like Smita Patil, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra in Hindi cinema, for whom beauty does not mean being fair or zero figure but being gentle, simple and comfortable.
Number one in art direction
Technically also the film ‘Anandi’ impresses. Especially its art direction and design. Tapan and his team have created the whole atmosphere of the film in such a way that the audience starts walking with them from the very first frame itself. The real witchcraft of the characters of any story is tied to the environment around them and in this case the film deserves praise. As a producer, Nikita has not made any kind of compromise with the budget etc. here too. Pramit Das has maintained a wonderful combination of light and shadow throughout the film’s cinematography from beginning to end. The duration of the film is also not much, so it can be called a ‘must watch’ film worth watching in any short break. There are also some weak links of the film such as its background music and some screws in its screenplay, although even after this the effect of the film does not decrease.
