The world only reveres the successful individual; it is irrelevant to him how he attained success.. To achieve success, there are many ups and downs in a person’s life, many times dreams get shattered. But if there is determination inside a person, then there is no such work in the world that a person cannot do. A turning point in life occurs when a person forgets his or her dreams and chooses a path that leads to nothing but disappointment throughout the rest of the person’s life, even though the destination may be very close. It seems ‘Ab Dilli Dur Nahi’ is the story of one such IAS who becomes a source of inspiration for people by achieving success in life through all the struggle and difficult situation.
The story of the film ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahi’ is inspired by the life of IAS officer Govind Jaiswal. Govind Jaiswal’s parents have fought very hard to fulfill their son’s dream. Even Govind Jaiswal’s father even drove a rickshaw. This film gives a message to the society, especially to the youth, that if any work is done with full sincerity and dedication, then sooner or later success will surely come. In the film, Abhay Shukla, inspired by the life of IAS officer Govind Jaiswal, is played by debutant Imran Zahid. The film begins with director Mahesh Bhatt’s talk show, in which Abhay Shukla appears and talks about his journey to become an IAS officer. Abhay Shukla is a topper from a district in Bihar and comes to Delhi to prepare for IAS. How a simple young man from Bihar fulfills his dream despite all the adverse circumstances, this story has been presented in a very poignant way in the film.
In the film ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahi’, the issue of reservation has also been raised very prominently. The general category boy, despite scoring good marks, remains behind the scheduled, backward castes due to reservation. This is similar to the fact that fetters are put on the feet of boys who run fast and children who run weak are made to cross the boundary by sitting on scooters. In such a situation, it is obvious that the dreams of the general category get shattered. But if the participant assumes that he has to fight his own battle for a seat in the general category and prepares accordingly, then success is sure. There should be only one goal of life that in every opposite to opposite circumstances only one has to move forward.
It is said that a woman’s hand is behind the success in the life of any human being. That woman can be your mother, sister, girlfriend or even your friend. In the film, there is a moment in the life of Abhay Shukla, when he leaves his dream of becoming an IAS and thinks of teaching children in the coaching center. Shanu, who runs the coaching center, repeatedly tempts Abhay Shukla that there is a lot of money in the coaching center. But what about the dream of those parents, who dream of making their son a collector by working day and night to earn every penny. Many such emotional aspects have been shown in the film, which make us think that behind your success, the hopes of many people are attached.
There is a dialogue of Mahesh Bhatt in the film that a person should make failure his jewel. You will get failure at every step in life but if you have determination then you will definitely get success. The racket running under the guise of coaching classes has also been shown prominently in the film. If seen, the actors of the film are not big stars but everyone has contributed 100 percent in their roles. Imran Zahid is making his big screen debut in the role of Abhay Shukla with the film ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahi’. Imran, who has shown his talent in the short film ‘Lakshmi’, has spent a long time on stage under the guidance of Mahesh Bhatt. His plays have been praised a lot. Now it is his turn to act in the film ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahin’. Despite coming from a non-film background, appearing on the big screen as a hero in cinema is his biggest victory. His acting is also effective. Yes, they need to groom themselves a bit and that too will happen with time.
Rajeev Mishra as Abhay Shukla’s friend Shani, Satyakam Anand as the coaching director and Shruti Sodhi as Abhay Shukla’s girlfriend Niyati have been commendable. ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahi’ is the directorial debut of Kamal Chandra, who was an assistant director to director Sudhir Mishra. He has raised an issue through an inspiring story written by the film’s writer Dinesh Gautam, which gives an inspiration to your youth. The film talks about the meaning of success and failure in life.
The entire shooting of the film ‘Ab Dilli Door Nahi’ has been done at many beautiful locations in Delhi like Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi University, Connaught Place. The film’s cinematographer Shrikant Asati has beautifully captured the beautiful locations of Delhi in his camera. The editing of the film was very tight by Ram Kishan Sutar. There is no feeling of boredom after watching the movie. The film has three songs ‘Thulu Re’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ and ‘Mahsoos Hua’ composed by Abhijeet Gawde, Tarun Sharma and Ajay Sinha respectively. Composed by Ajay Sinha, ‘Mahsoos Hua’ is a beautiful romantic track sung by Jubin Nautiyal. The chemistry between Imran Zahid and Shruti Sodhi is very good in this song.
