To cure the new disease that the creative team of Yash Raj Films has suffered from, that of making an entire film through special effects, the entire team has to look at the films released by Marvel Studios in the last two-three years and from the last 20 years of these films. We should talk to the youth who are fans. The scenes between Pathan and Tiger are so filmy that both of them bring up the mention of Sholay in between. Its director Manish Sharma has completely missed the mark in creating the boil of emotions that this entire sequence should have created in the audience.
The film was spent telling stories
The film ‘Tiger 3’ is a film which will be watched by all those who are enamored with the espionage world of Yash Raj Films. It should be noted here that the matter has faltered once before in the second film of this franchise, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. The films ‘War’ and ‘Pathan’ became hits because of their respective stories and actors. Tiger has no role in their becoming a hit. Pathan’s entry in ‘Tiger 3’ has been a complete waste and Kabir’s entry also comes at a time when the audience is completely disappointed with the film. If this is the trailer of the film ‘War 2’ then it is a very bad trailer. After seeing this scene, discussions about ‘War 2’ have already started. Yes, Jr NTR is not in the film. Even though the film was released on Diwali on Sunday, the crowd seen in the morning show is proof that the OTT fascination of people watching films in theaters is about to end. But, he just wants a good film. Need cool action. One or two songs worth humming and a twist like a James Bond movie every 15-20 minutes. Aditya Chopra has taken full care of this in the story. But, Sridhar Raghavan’s script has spoiled the matter. I don’t know why all the artists keep telling stories, whereas this is the first rule of cinema that in this the story is taken forward by showing and not by telling. Ankur Chaudhary’s dialogues are cheeky at one or two places, but due to the way Salman Khan is becoming a master of speaking all the dialogues in the same style, the scope for new experiments in cinema with him has almost ended. The pre-interval part of the film is very weak and after the interval, the audience spends all its time waiting for Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. By the time the movie ends, the audience hasn’t had a chance to consider where things went a bit wrong because something is always happening on screen quickly. Yes, after the film is over, one has to think whether it was really necessary to get up at five in the morning and watch the six o’clock show?
Yash Raj Films missed a great opportunity
Yash Raj Spy Universe’s latest film ‘Tiger 3’, which has become the most hit franchise of masala films, has a duration of 156 minutes and is very long as per its story. The film starts in such a good way that it seems, yes, now the matter will be settled. Zoya’s past is revealed to the audience. Emraan Hashmi also looks with the glow of youth. Imran has put his all into this role even though his height and physique don’t fit the stereotype of heroes or villains in Hindi cinema. Simply, Emraan Hashmi has limited acting skills and to cover it up, director Manish Sharma only helped by his graying beard and long hair. Manish has not done anything special in this film that would write a new chapter of his directorial skills. He has based this film completely on stunt directors and has made it in a fixed format as per the vision of Aditya Chopra. These weaknesses of the film ‘Tiger 3’ are going to form the foundation of the next two films of Yash Raj Spy Universe, ‘War 2’ and ‘Tiger vs Pathan’ and this will also prove to be a real challenge for the directors of these two films, Ayan Mukherjee and Siddharth Anand.
